🌟 Special delivery this morning 🌟

We welcomed a new friend — a 7-year-old Paso Fino gelding. His previous owner was in a tough spot and couldn’t keep him. He had been trying to sell him for a very low price, which can sometimes attract the wrong kind of buyers who may take horses to auction.

To keep him safe, we stepped in and purchased him. The first step will be caring for his physical needs, and then, little by little, we’ll start working with him.

He’s a bit grumpy right now, but that’s okay — he’s just unsure. With time, patience, and kindness, he’ll learn that here he won’t be forced or mistreated, instead respected and given the chance to trust again. 💛🐴

Now for the fun part — do we keep the name, Caramelo, or do we give him a l new one? We’d love your help! 🦄❣️ We’re thrilled to share a happy update about one of our rescues. He’s settling beautifully into his new home, surrounded by love, patience, and the kind of attention every horse deserves.
The truth is, rescue horses often come to us carrying the weight of their past. Many have been through auctions, bounced from place to place, or surrendered. Some after years of neglect, life changes of their owners, horses with training issues or having been sold to the wrong home with no guidance. They may be shut down, fearful, or unsure of humans—but that doesn’t mean they’re broken.
It takes time, understanding, and the right match. But with patience and care, these horses can thrive again. They are not lost causes. They are just waiting for someone to see their worth.
This is why we do what we do. And we’re so grateful to the adopters who open their hearts to horses with stories.

Duval. 16 yr old Paso fino gelding available for adoption.

Duval. 16 yr old Paso fino gelding available for adoption.

Duval is a 16 yr old registered PF gelding looking for a home. Ideally for light riding and pasture with not too many other horses. He tends to like 1 other gelding or mare, and keep the others away. The nice thing is he does not get buddy sour under saddle, he is just that way in the paddock. He can be stalled, loads and travels well. He was pulled from auction so he take a little while to bond and trust. Good ground manners, utd on Coggins, teeth and has good feet. He does Not have an accelerated pace and will walk on a loose rein. Adoption fee is under 🥕k. Located in Ocala, Fl.

Thumper! @crazyanimallady1970. This sweet baby raccoon came into our lives unexpectedly on Easter Sunday. A friend of our daughter rescued him from a dog’s mouth. He was just about 4 weeks old and still needed bottle feeding and care. She searched for a shelter or rescue that would take him, but it being the busy season, no one had space. We agreed to take him till we found a rescue/rehab that could take Thumper. Wow, it’s a lot of work. We finally found Rita and she kindly without hesitation agreed to take him even at 10:30pm. She will raise him, alongside other raccoons, squirrels, kittens and possums until he is old enough to be released back into the wild. Rehabbing and raising these guys is exhausting and expensive. We want to thank and ask for your support to help Rita and her wonderful work. Every little bit makes a difference for these animals and the people who fight to give them a second chance. The core of Synergy Horsemanship & @david.a.palacio philosophy is to lead with strength, empathy, and wisdom. The goal is never to control the horse but to guide with understanding and respect. The only thing I seek to control is myself—my emotions, my reactions, and my responses. I ensure that the horse never feels “wrong” or faces discomfort as a consequence of learning. Instead, I focus on building trust and rapport through clear, compassionate communication.This approach has been especially important in working with Rain 🌧️ and Mocha ☕️ , two mares rescued from neglect by Fallen Oak Equine Rehabilitation Center. We picked them up on January 25, 2025 at FO to continue the next phase of their rescue and follow through on an important factor we believe in which is working together with others in the rescue community. The two Paso mares were extremely skittish, reactive, and difficult to handle. Routine care—such as dental work, hoof trimming, and even basic grooming—had been nearly impossible. Through patience, consistency, and a commitment to earning their trust rather than forcing compliance, we have been working to help them feel safe and confident in human interactions. Duval engaged in his inaugural bodywork session with Alice Long of Time For Me To Fly Performance Bodywork utilizing The Masterson Method and performed exceptionally well.

Although he exhibited some initial shyness, he still demonstrated notable releases. It is important to understand that a horse's muscles do not improve through mere rest. As prey animals, horses tend to conceal and protect tension, layering it much like an onion. If this undesirable tension is not alleviated through various bodywork techniques, the affected area will likely become restricted.
This restriction limits circulation and range of motion prompting the horse to compensate by altering its movement, which can lead to further issues and diminished performance.

The Masterson Method® represents a distinctive, interactive approach to equine bodywork that is accessible for anyone to learn, fostering trust between horse and handler. Often, years of accumulated stress and stiffness can be alleviated within just a few sessions by addressing the built-up tension in core muscles and critical junctions that influence the horse's performance.

Mimosas came to us from another rescue. She is a Paso Fino mare with forward motion that thinks she has to go the minute you get on her. These exercises will teacher to start at a walk and not rush into gait and to relax. We are also working on her anxiety and impatience.

Cayenne is an approximately 15-year-old Gelding. I do not have papers on him but he can be DNA and may be registered. He is 13.2h.
From the paperwork I have, a lady by the name of Pj purchased him in 2015. She died last year of cancer and her family members didn’t know what to do with him so they were going to put him to sleep. A neighbor reached out to us and we took him in. He is very easy to handle on the ground. He has a scar on his front left leg. It does not cause him any pain and he is sound. He has good feet. We ride him on a bosal, because he gets a little hot with a bit in his mouth. We are working to relax him with a bit and not be so show gait mode. He is smooth and light on the reins.
He rides out alone and with other horses in the front or the back. He can be alpha with other horses depending on who I put him with. Right now he is loose and has access to the whole farm. He does visit with other horses, but spends most of his time alone. He’s easy to catch. We trail ride off the property.
